Guest Edition Of The Times Of India

We take the Newspaper In Education program from the Times of India. Our students from Grade 4 get the newspaper to their desk everyday and they take great pride when their articles get printed frequently in the newspaper. As a recognition for our active participation in the NIE, our school has been given the opportunity to compile and edit a complete newspaper for one day in 2007.The entire team of students and teachers worked together to make a newspaper from headlines to sports pages with great energies and enthusiasm. Everyday we read the newspaper, but it is not everyday that we make news paper. It was our privilege and honor to have written the articles, features, interviews, sports page and the editorial page. On the 2nd Novemeber’07 our edition of the Times of India (student edition) has been circulated for more than 80000 readers.

Me & My Country - The Book

On 15th August’08 we released a book called ‘Me & My Country’ which is like a text book to learn about bravery, courage,sacrifice, collective responsibility & action, values, leadership qualities, freedom, patriotism, unity, traditions and national pride. We have talked about our role models and unsung heroes that we met, festivals as we celebrate and perspectives as we have.

Me & My Country

We started a social and civic responsibility program as we believe that schools cannot be isolated from the society. In fact they have the ability to influence a large number of people into always putting the right step forward. Since 2006 we have been creating a consciousness in the school community and thereby all those we interact with regarding our responsibilities in making our country a better place to live in.

BEAUTIFUL TREES OF KNOWLEDGE IN EVERY VILLAGE AND TOWN TO TRANSFORM INDIA
RDF is a NGO that runs schools in 5 villages for the poor children by providing free books, uniforms and lunch. Their uniqueness lies in:

Strengthening children in academic areas through innovative practices, low cost teaching aids and continuous teacher training
Improving villages through social empowerment programs on fight against rituals, dowry system, early marriages and importance of saving.
Providing expertise in Archery (RDF students participated in 2007 Olympics) games, videography, photography, uploading, Science exhibitions and cultural activities.
Giving an all round development to their students

We as a School have identified RDF as a consistent and sincere NGO which has been striving to transform rural India through education and social reformation for the last 15 years. With the help of the parent community our acorns collected 4 lakhs 5 lakhs and 7 lakhs in the last 3 academic years and donated the same to RDF. Besides financial support the School also gives pedagogical training and curricular support to the 5 schools run by RDF. For the academic session 2010-2011, we are raising funds to support this noble cause. On 30Th jan (Martyr’s Day) of every year the funds will be handed over to RDF.

City Song

Every long journey begins with a small step. Serving our country begins with taking care of our city. We developed love and care for our city through a song. We have written, composed and rendered ‘the Song of Hyderabad’, the DVD of which has been released by the Governor of AP on the 19th April’08.This is the first of its kind in our country to have a dedicated song to a city.

We started a signature campaign wherein we encourage the guests of the school to take some resolutions that would help the country develop.
