A Teaching career of 15 years in Pre primary classes to Grade XII and an experience of 10 years as Coordinator, Head and Principal in different parts of the country helped Seetha Murty to develop progressive schooling patterns that ensure positive grooming of young people with character and competence.
A Masters in Political Science and another Masters in Education enhanced her natural interest in socio economic fabric of our society and the necessary educational needs. With the belief that education is for transforming an individual into a better human being, she has been consistently developing congruent practices in teaching and learning which emphasize on values and knowledge.
Training and curriculum development, innovation, implementation and sustainability are her strong points.
Her leadership qualities made her as one of the top 5 leaders in the Lead India contest held by Times Of India Hyderabad in Oct’07.
As the Principal of Silver Oaks she transformed an existing State Board School to an International School in 5 years with an accreditation from IBO for the PYP program till Grade VI and an affiliation from CBSE till Grade XII.
Impressed with the ability of the School to provide international education with lowest fee for an IB School, IBO invited her to give a 1 hour presentation at the annual regional conference in Singapore in March 2010.
CII has invited her to share model of making international education affordable at the National Summit on Quality Education on 22nd oct’10
She is trained by IBO workshops for Primary Years Program, Written Curriculum, Role of Social & Science in primary years, Written Curriculum, Concept driven curriculum, collaborative planning, pedagogical leadership & Assessment.
She has been one of the workshop leaders for a community service program taken by IBO in India. The project is a highly successful model now which is being developed as a sustainable program for the coming years.
She is also a project developer for the IBO’s training modules in new teacher training areas like Sustainability as international mindedness.
She is a regular writer with the NIE student edition of Times of India
